Ballygown Restaurant is family run, and offers wonderful local produce and home-cooked specialities, in the warm and friendly atmosphere of Ballygown Cottage. Located along the north-west coast of the island, just back from the shoreline, its superb food and location will entice you back for more.
All pasta, cakes and puddings are homemade and bread is baked daily using organic flour. All meat comes from the island, and prawns, crab and lobster are caught from the surrounding waters. Delicious haggis is handmade in the Ballygown kitchen, too! Booking is advisable. There are only four tables!

The Boathouse:This award winning restaurant on Ulva is where you can eat delicious home cooked food, buy hot or cold drinks and choose from a range of specialities, such as local oysters, prawns, crab, and other very fresh seafood, based on locally sourced ingredients. The Boathouse (the 2009 Scottish Winner of UKTV Food's Market Kitchen “Local Food Heroes” competition) offers full meals, soup and sandwiches or just a cup of tea or coffee and, perhaps, some of their wonderful baked treats.
